Did you know that Baptist Care SA provides aged care services? I hope the response is yes as our organisation has been proving Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services for over a decade. And, as a legislative mandate, Baptist Care SA will soon undertake a quality review against the new Aged Care Quality Standards conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
The Community Links Program (based at Hallett Cove) and the Elders Program (based at Inner City) are the programs that deliver CHSP services, and will be undertaking an external review to match current practice against the Standards. Both teams have been undertaking comprehensive work in preparation for the audit and I would like to acknowledge their efforts. The audit will probably be based at Wayville with visits to the Hallett Cove and Inner City offices. It will include document review and interviews with management, staff and clients.
The Community Links Programs focus on providing social support and connections into community for isolated elderly participants, while the Elders Program focuses on Aboriginal Elders and provides support including transport, meals and social activities.
We wish all the best to both teams for this review and look forward to continuously improving our services to our clients in line with our motto: “Finding ways to make people’s lives better”.
