‘Connections’ Workshop – 19 September

With a focus on young families, Autism and the NDIS.

It includes Developmental Educators with enormous experience talking about Positive Behaviour Support Plans, peer support groups, NDIS funding options and how parent training can be covered in a plan.

We invite attendees to share stories, to share the learned wisdom of how difficulties and struggles have been overcome- and identify where things can improve. The conversations in the workshops can raise suggestions for change that is achievable.

As one in five Australians have a disability, and more than half of people aged 55 years and over have difficulties with mobility, sight or hearing, would your church like to be more inclusive of people with disability and their carers?

This interactive workshop offers tips and tools enabling you to:
  • be disability-friendly
  • engage effectively
  • create opportunities for participation
  • make the most of NDIS funding

Participants will receive useful Fact Sheets and NDIS information booklets.

Date: Thursday 19 September, 6pm – 8pm

Venue: Richmond Baptist Church
