Baptist Care SA is delighted to be a member of the innovative new Toward Home Alliance that is being established in the City, Hills and Southern Adelaide areas to address the needs of families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
This strong new Toward Home Alliance has been endorsed by the SA Housing Authority to implement a transformational new approach that shifts both the service focus and resources toward the prevention of homelessness. We will be working with Lutheran Care, The Salvation Army, Mission Australia, Aboriginal Community Services and Sonder to re-shape the sector’s response to the needs and aspirations of vulnerable people and to offer better-integrated ‘Transition Pathways from Adversity toward Opportunity’. A number of our Alliance Partners will be co-locating at our Inner City site. Our WestCare Centre will continue to provide a place of sanctuary and connection to services, people, culture and community for thousands of vulnerable people each year.
Other exciting news includes:
We appreciate the ongoing prayerful and generous support of our friends and donors who help us sustain the provision of high-quality services for vulnerable people.
