As a founding member of the exciting new Toward Home Alliance, Baptist Care SA is playing a leading role in response to the needs and life aspirations of people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Adelaide CBD, Hills and Southern Adelaide areas.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25: 35-36
Just as the WestCare Centre has served as a place of sanctuary for Aboriginal and homeless people in the Adelaide CBD for over 100 years, I am now excited to announce that Baptist Care SA will be opening a new Southern Pathways Centre at Christies Beach in September. This new Centre will be a hub of activity and a welcoming place where people in crisis will be respectfully welcomed and actively supported along their ‘transition pathways from adversity to opportunity’.
The opening of this new Southern Pathways Centre will herald an exciting new chapter in the unfolding history of Baptist Care SA by:
Sincere thanks for the generosity and ongoing prayerful support of our supporters, donors and missional partners who enable us to keep on being there for people in the midst of crisis… when they really need to know that someone cares.
Blessings to you all.
