Meet Corina – NDIS Administration Coordinator

Question 1:

What is your role at Baptist Care SA?

NDIS Administration Officer.

I coordinate the administration of our client records, support the Client Engagement Team as needed and ensure that the office is functioning smoothly.

Question 2:

What do you enjoy most about your work and as part of the Disability Pathways team?

I enjoy the organization involved in my role. I get a great deal of satisfaction contributing to the coordination of client records in the background. I am supporting our clients, albeit not directly.

I specifically work with staff files and clearances, finance for clients, client files and general running of the office.

Question 3:

What are the most important things about providing good service to our clients?

That our clients are happy and working towards their personal NDIS goals.

We support our clients to be in control of their life and the decisions that contribute to this.

Question 4:

Can you give an example of a successful outcome you’ve had in your role?

I have been encouraging some clients to sign for their own shopping cards when they are collected from the office. It may seem like a minor thing, but you can see the positive change in their faces when you address them directly and ask for them to sign the paperwork. It is a small step towards empowerment, independence and self determination for our clients.

Question 5:

We pride ourselves on working alongside our clients, at their pace – why do you think this is so important?

No one likes to be rushed or pushed into something that they do not want to do or feel ready for. Our clients are no exception. Better outcomes can be achieved from allowing people to navigate situations at their own pace.

Question 6:

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy crafting, knitting and cooking. I also have a green thumb and grow my own vegetables at home.

In contrast to the homely stuff, I love horror movies and rock/metal music.

I like to spend time with my friends and family on weekends and am a member of my local social club.

If you have any questions about Baptist Care SA’s NDIS services, our Client Engagement Team is here to help.
