Reflecting on 2022 – Megan, Senior Manager Disability Pathways

Introducing Megan…

Senior Manager, Disability Pathways

Hello everyone!

I’ve been part of the Disability Pathways team at Baptist Care SA for just over a year and have recently been appointed as the Senior Manager. I look after the operational management, strategic growth, and development of our Disability services at Baptist Care SA.

I have 17 years’ experience working with paediatrics and a variety of ages within the NDIS/disability sector. This has given me further insight into client-centred care, and how services delivered in meaningful and engaging ways can have long-lasting positive impacts.

I am passionate about my work and most importantly, supporting our clients each and every day.

Reflecting on 2022…

Despite weathering another year of COVID uncertainty, 2022 has been a year for Disability Pathways to celebrate! We have achieved significant milestones in our maturity as a NDIS provider, including improved processes for incident management and workforce planning, and the rollout of our Tapa Marnini-apinthi (Creating Change) Practice Framework.

Together our teams have continued to support over 180 people living with disability across multiple service offerings under the NDIS.

I am grateful to our staff for their unwavering commitment to Baptist Care SA and the people we support. We have continued to work in partnership with our clients, guardians and loved ones. This has seen our clients grow in confidence, independence and live out their best lives.

Throughout 2022 we undertook a survey to learn about our clients’ experience with us and how we can improve our services. We received a record number of responses and are thrilled to report that 94% of our respondents are happy with our services.

To expand our footprint in Adelaide’s Northern Suburbs, our Disability Pathways offices have recently relocated to Salisbury. This has provided us with a firm foundation in the north, and we hope to build strong, trusting relationships with our new community.

Disability Pathways will undertake an NDIS Audit in the beginning of 2023. We hope to keep you informed of this process and further communication will follow early in the year.

Thank you for your continued support. On behalf of the Disability Pathways team at Baptist Care SA, I wish you a safe and joyous Christmas. Christmas is a time for connection and I hope yours is filled with love and kindness.
