Reflecting On The Year That Was

Looking back on another year characterised by highs and lows of the global pandemic, I am grateful for our clients and staff, who continue their journey together with strength and faith. Looking ahead, we continue to strive towards the attainment of our clients’ full potential.

Despite the collective challenges, we have grown from approximately 130 clients using 180 individual services to 180 clients using 275 individual services. We feel privileged to be trusted by an increasing number of clients and their families/carers.  Our staff team has also grown and continues to work hard to further improve the quality of our services, processes and practice. We are confident that together, we can rise to the challenges that may come our way.

During the year, we ran a survey asking our clients and their guardians about their experience with us so far. We were thrilled to find that over 90% of respondents identified as being either Very happy (48%) or Happy (43%) with our supports. It was also humbling to know that our clients feel the best thing about Baptist Care SA is that “Baptist Care SA helps me to achieve my NDIS goals” (26%), “I feel safe, valued and supported with Baptist Care SA” and “Baptist Care SA listens to me (21% equally).   We will use these responses and others to support continuous improvements to our service delivery.

I’ve always believed that Christmas is not about what’s under the tree. It’s about who’s gathered around it. This Christmas, I look forward to sharing a meal with and spending time with my friends and family.

Thank you for your ongoing support. On behalf of the Disability Pathways team at Baptist Care SA, I wish you and your loved ones a Safe and Merry Christmas and New Year filled with love and hope.
