Everyone’s gifts should be enabled to flourish – and this includes people with disabilities and their families.
If you run a church ministry for children and young people and want to make your congregation a more accessible and welcoming place, we are here to help!
Baptist Care SA has been awarded a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grant to provide social and community participation.
The ‘Co-design and Connect’ project enables you to work exclusively with people with knowledge, skills and lived experience of disability, to re-design or co-design activities that ensure young people with disabilities can access your activities and feel welcome in your church.
Resources: Our ‘Co-design and Connect’ project will help you tailor strategies and create resources to support the inclusion of children and young people into the various community activities provided by your church.
Youth Coaching and Workshops: We can coach children and young people in your ministry to empower them and improve their disability confidence. We can also run tailored workshops to help your church design inclusion programs or build on existing programs and facilitate collaboration with the community.
Opportunities: Baptist Care SA has many opportunities for churches and groups to be involved in and aware of issues related to people with disabilities.
