Urban Learning Community

Live in Adelaide’s inner city for $100 per week to make a difference in the lives of those who are doing it tough.

Are you 18-30 years of age with a passion for following Jesus and working with struggling South Australians?

Baptist Care SA’s homelessness services provide more than 34,000 nutritious meals including 18,343 free meals every year. Our WestCare Centre offers a safe place to come for food, shelter, support, advocacy and referrals. We are commencing an Urban Learning Community of Young Adults, to experience and learn more about what it means to live in close community in a missional context.

This is a great opportunity to be mentored by experienced Urban Ministry Practitioners, to live in the inner city and to volunteer at Baptist Care SA’s Inner City site. $100 cost per week covers board and all utilities.

Baptist Care SA, lives, works and walks on Kaurna, Peramangk and Boandik lands. We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the state’s first peoples, recognise their traditional ownership, and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, deep connection and continued guardianship of land and waters. We value the contributions of Elders past and present, and are committed to learning from those emerging.
