CybersafeME

Using a strength-based, child-centred approach to build awareness of eSafety and responsible digital citizenship.

 

CybersafeME – safety and responsible digital citizenship

Through discussion, children have the opportunity to identify their experiences online and engage with their peers as they explore online safety.

 
Program objectives:

  • Build responsible digital citizenship
  • Understand effects and consequences of a digital footprint
  • Develop safe practices online
  • Identify positive and negative social behaviours online
  • Identify who to trust

 

CybersafeME – Parent info session
Information session for Parents and caregivers for children aged between 8 and 12 years old on cyber-safety and contemporary issues affecting children online.

  • Social Networking
  • Safe Behaviours
  • Online Security
  • eSafety Commission
  • Resources for Parents

Short term counselling

We provide free mental health support for young people (aged 0-18) and their families.

 

Working on an individual case basis as well as using targeted therapeutic group work, we focus on early intervention and prevention of mental illness. We work with individuals and their families to build on:
• Individual strengths
• Expand family resources
• Develop a greater sense of connection to community

 

Referrals can be made by anyone in the community including schools, early learning centres, health workers, community organisations and self-referrals.
