Richard’s* young life was filled with trauma and loss.  His parents divorced when he was a young child, and following their separation, there wasn’t any room for him in their new lives.  So, he was shunted from pillar to post, from relative to relative, and eventually from foster home to no home!

“I didn’t know who to trust and felt like I had hit rock bottom. I really wanted to pick up the pieces of my life and put them back together but didn’t know how. I was unloved, unwanted and home…less.”

… and then out of nowhere along came hope! …

Rain-soaked and freezing cold, as Richard was begging for change to buy a hot coffee, a complete stranger invited him to come along to WestCare.

“It was really hard asking strangers for help, but the guys at the WestCare Centre were awesome.  They helped me find “A place to call home” … it’s hard to solve your problems without somewhere safe to live.

The WestCare Centre is an open door and open arms to help Richard and hundreds of South Australians just like him, who are in search of home.

Your gift will help provide sanctuary in times of great need…
