Workshop: NDIS, Support for Carers and more…

Baptist Care SA invites you to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, learning more about the NDIS and making the most of funding, and how to care for carers.

 

You can come to one session or come to both of this FREE event. Please choose the correct ticket.

 

Session 1: Caring for the Carer, 9.30am – 12pm
  • Sharing stories and solutions from peers
  • The struggles, barriers, and challenges of caring
  • Creating support for carers
  • Tips from experienced carers, parents and support workers
  • Respite: where, why and how?

A FREE Lunch is provided for those choosing the full day ticket.

 

Session 2: Making the most of your NDIS funding, 12.30-2.30pm
  • Knowing what the NDIS “terms” really mean
  • Tips on making your NDIS funds work for you
  • Engaging the workers of your choice with your NDIS funds
  • Finding providers, services and supports in your area.

Limit 30 people each session.

 

Guest Speakers:

  • People with practical lived experience
  • Local Area Coordinators 
  • Developmental Educator explaining Positive Behavioural Support to assist in overcoming challenging behaviour (Session 2 only)
