World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) is on Friday 2 April. An internationally-recognised day, WAAD aims to shine a light on the hurdles that people with autism and others living with autism face every day.

World Autism Awareness Day celebrates the unique talents of those living with autism, with community events around the globe.

Ways of celebrating Autism Awareness Day include:

  • sharing information online to spread awareness
  • getting involved in events run by autism communities
  • listening to people you know who have autism about what it means to them.
