Belief. Belonging. A place to call home.

At Baptist Care SA’s WestCare Centre, people who have lost family, home and hope find warmth, compassion and a place to belong.

This Christmas, more South Australians than ever are turning to WestCare for meals, showers, health care and connection. Your generosity helps ensure that everyone who walks through our doors is welcomed with kindness and dignity.

For Ray, WestCare became a lifeline. After losing his job, home and sense of purpose, he spent years feeling alone and hopeless. Everything changed the day he was welcomed into WestCare.

Surrounded by care and friendship, he began to rebuild his confidence and rediscover his belief in himself and others.

Today, at seventy-three, Ray tends his garden and brings flowers from home to brighten the dining hall. His warmth and humour have earned him the nickname “Ray of Sunshine.” Each Christmas he arrives early to help serve meals and share joy with others who once felt forgotten.

Your kindness makes stories like Ray’s possible. Together, we can ensure that everyone who comes to WestCare this Christmas finds a hot meal, a caring community and the hope of a brighter future.

Your Impact

Baptist Care SA’s WestCare Centre is a safe place where people from all walks of life are welcome.

Each week, we provide approximately 200 free community meals.

Without government funding, it costs around $35,000 each month to keep our dining hall open.

Rising costs and growing need mean that your support is needed now more than ever.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a profound difference in the lives of those facing isolation and hardship.

Please donate today to help us continue our life-changing work.
