Tailored Learning

BaptistCare works with young people, families and schools to help high school students stay connected with learning, build confidence and take positive steps towards their future.

Tailored Learning provides personalised support for young people who may be finding school difficult because of anxiety, depression, mental health challenges, family circumstances, social issues or other barriers to learning.

Our team takes the time to understand your young person, what is happening around them and what support may help. We work alongside them to build confidence, strengthen skills and stay connected to learning, wellbeing and future pathways.

This may include support to keep working towards the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), explore vocational education or training, build life skills, or take steps towards employment.

BaptistCare is a proud member of the South Australian Department for Education Preferred Provider Panel.

  • Strengths and needs assessment

The young person’s strengths and needs are assessed across key life areas.

  • Planning

Learning and wellbeing goals are identified with the young person and family and a support plan is developed.

  • Review

Goals are reviewed, progress is acknowledged and plans are adjusted where needed.

  • Transition

The young person is supported to move towards their next step. This may include returning to school, vocational study, employment, a traineeship, apprenticeship or further education.
