Why choose us

  • Flexible delivery

Our Into the Abyss camps and expeditions are flexible in length — from short introductory journeys to extended adventures — and tailored to suit your school’s needs, budget, and group size.

  • Safety and support

Teachers can be confident their students are supported by facilitators trained in The Rite Journey program and accredited under the Australian Adventure Activity Standards. All facilitators hold current first aid and child safety clearances, and all technical and safety equipment is provided. Comprehensive risk management processes are documented and shared with schools and briefing sessions for parents and students can be arranged if required.

  • Co-designed with schools

Every program is developed in partnership with teachers, blending outdoor adventure, teamwork and guided reflection to create the right balance of challenge, support and growth. Teachers accompany students for the duration of the camp or expedition, providing pastoral care, wellbeing support and behaviour management. Our facilitators manage all logistics, activity delivery, and safety, so teachers can focus on supporting their students’ journey. Schools also receive full itineraries, packing lists, and risk management documentation in advance.

  • Inspiring locations

Camps and expeditions can be delivered at Mylor Adventure Camp, Wirraway Homestead, or in some of South Australia’s most spectacular landscapes, including the Flinders Ranges, Deep Creek, Onkaparinga Gorge, Kuitpo Forest, and Mt Crawford. Interstate expeditions are also available to the Grampians National Park and Mt Arapiles in Victoria.

  • Adventure activities

Each camp and expedition draws on a range of outdoor challenges designed to stretch students safely, build resilience and encourage teamwork. Activities may include hiking and bushwalking, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing and abseiling, high ropes, orienteering, and team-building initiatives.

  • Parent and carer involvement

We know journeys are stronger when supported at home. To engage parents and carers, we can provide a presentation that explains the Into the Abyss camps and expeditions, reinforces the growth that occurs and celebrates each student’s step toward adulthood.
