‘Southern Pathways Centre’ now open

Baptist Care SA has established a new ‘Southern Pathways Centre’ at 34 Beach Road, Christies Beach.

Officially opened by the Hon. Michelle Lensink, Minister for Human Services on 4 November 2021, the Centre represents an ongoing commitment to provision of high-quality integrated services and to fostering interagency collaboration in the outer southern Adelaide region. It aims to address the needs and aspirations of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in southern communities.

Baptist Care SA’s purchase of this property represents a long-term commitment to the Southern Adelaide community.  We are committed to facilitating ‘Transition Pathways from Adversity to Opportunity’.   We recognise the need to put more ‘stepping stones’ along the path in order to make healthy choices easier choices.

Baptist Care SA is also committed to developing Purposeful Partnerships.  Our strategic focus includes working collaboratively with

  • Government (at local, state and federal levels)
  • Other Community Sector organisations
  • The Toward Home Alliance including the co-location of four of those organisations (Lutheran Care, Sonder, Mission Australia and The Salvation Army) in the Southern Pathways Centre
  • The Baptist movement
  • Aboriginal people and communities.

We recognise that our organisational capability, client outcomes and community impacts are enhanced through productive partnerships and effective collaborations.
