Kate McGarry, General Manager Community Services 

Kate joined the Baptist Care SA team hoping to restore healing and help people build relationships with others, themselves and God.

Witnessing the work happening on the frontline; securing a house for a homeless person, supporting young people reunify with their families and enabling those living with a disability to achieve some independence makes her heart sing. 

“It’s watching and supporting people to achieve what they want to achieve – we’re very privileged.”  

Baptist Care SA, lives, works and walks on Kaurna, Peramangk and Boandik lands. We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the state’s first peoples, recognise their traditional ownership, and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, deep connection and continued guardianship of land and waters. We value the contributions of Elders past and present, and are committed to learning from those emerging.
