URGENT – We need your help today to keep our dining room open

Along with the cost-of-living crisis, we’re also grappling with what’s been coined the ‘loneliness epidemic’. Today in Australia, almost one third of people feel lonely.*

Steve* spent years searching for a new place after his marriage fell apart. Things became desperate and he found himself sleeping rough in the parklands. Over time, his social links became fragmented, and he became very lonely and isolated.

Steve eventually sought sanctuary at Baptist Care SA’s WestCare Centre. At the very heart of this support was the dining room, where the real connection was built over a shared meal.

“WestCare feels like home to me. I feel safe, like I’m part of one big family.”

For someone like Steve, finding a path out of homelessness and loneliness begins with a hearty meal and good conversation in the WestCare Centre dining room.

Your generous support is desperately needed to keep Baptist Care SA’s WestCare Centre dining room doors open for people like Steve.

Can you help?
