State Govt Child Protection Initiatives Welcomed by Baptist Care SA

Baptist Care SA welcomes the South Australian Government’s Child Protection initiatives in its 2022-2033 Budget.

In this critical area of community services, Baptist Care SA welcomes the State Government’s commitment to keeping vulnerable and at-risk children and young people safe from abuse and neglect by increasing the number of residential care places available through government and non-government agencies.

Baptist Care SA also welcomes the State Government’s commitment to commence work on a workforce development strategy. As the employer of over 1200 skilled professional staff and volunteers, Baptist Care SA believes that a strong, well-trained, and well-respected workforce is essential for the positive outcomes of children in care.

Baptist Care SA welcomes this investment in Child Protection and looks forward to working with the State Government to ensure safe, sound and personal support for all children and young people in our community.
