Developmental Education

Learning for living.

Developmental Education is a NDIS capacity-building support that focuses on strengthening skills and abilities that enhance wellbeing, independence and participation in everyday life.

Developmental Educators are allied health professionals with a disability-specific qualification. In collaboration with families and support networks They work alongside people living with disability to co-design supports that build skills, increase capacity and strengthen independence. All supports are guided by respectful, evidence-based and person-centred practice, resulting in tailored programs that promote choice, confidence and quality of life. This support helps people increase independence, build practical skills and achieve meaningful everyday goals under their NDIS plan.

Our Developmental Education supports are practical, goal-focused and delivered in real-life settings such as homes, schools and community environments. We provide tailored supports that are individualised, measurable and directly linked to each participant’s NDIS goals and desired outcomes.

  • Daily living and independence skills. Helping to build confidence in everyday tasks.
  • Communication and social participation. Strengthening skills to connect with others and engage in community life.
  • Behaviour support strategies. Tailored strategies that help with regulation and behavioural challenges.
  • Goal-based education sessions. Focused on achieving the meaningful goals in your NDIS plan.
  • Collaboration with other allied health. Ensuring seamless, multidisciplinary care.

Positive Behaviour Support

Creating space for greater understanding and create safer, steadier responses.

Positive Behaviour Support explores what may sit beneath behaviours of concern and identifies practical ways to reduce risk and increase  stability by focussing on dignity, safety and long-term capability.

Through a considered and thoughtful approach, communication, emotional regulation, routines and environments are reviewed to better understand influencing factors. Clear and consistent strategies are then developed to support safer responses and strengthen participation across home, school and community settings.

  • Functional behaviour assessments to identify contributing factors and triggers.
  • Development of tailored behaviour support plans aligned to NDIS goals.
  • Teaching alternative communication and regulation strategies.
  • Adjusting environments or routines to improve safety and predictability.
  • Training and guidance for families and support teams to promote consistency.

All supports are delivered through respectful, evidence-based and person-centred practice.

Positive Behaviour Support is provided by qualified, NDIS-registered practitioners in collaboration with participants and their support networks.

Occupational Therapy

Practical skills for everyday participation.

Occupational Therapy is for people with disability who want to improve practical skills and increase independence in daily activities. It focuses on helping you participate more fully by strengthening functional abilities and reducing environmental barriers.

Support is delivered by qualified Occupational Therapists who work with you to develop skills and identify adjustments that improve safety and accessibility at home, school, work or in the community.

Support may include:

  • Developing independence in dressing, showering and meal preparation.
  • Strengthening fine and gross motor skills.
  • Supporting sensory processing and regulation strategies.
  • Completing functional capacity assessments for NDIS planning.
