News from the Limestone Coast.

The Limestone Coast team has been busy as always and there are a few exciting things taking place!

Limestone Coast Toy Run

Baptist Care SA will be hosting its first ever Toy Run in the Limestone Coast region on Saturday 30 November, and planning is already underway. Last year the event (run independently by staff member Jeremy Young) provided over 400 disadvantaged children and their families with Christmas gifts. The Toy Run presents a great opportunity to provide support to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and to raise awareness of Baptist care SA within the region.

Care Pathways

Our Care Pathways team was recognised for its exceptional quality of service during a recent Department for Child Protection (DCP) licensing audit which saw a perfect compliance outcome. This was a result of a massive team effort from staff at all levels and affirms our commitment to quality, team work and ultimately positive outcomes for the young people in our care.

Flexible Learning Options

The Limestone Coast Flexible Learning Options (FLO) program is also continuing to receive excellent feedback from local schools and the Department of Education. We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new FLO Case managers, Scott Crute and Leanne Grosser. Scott and Leanne have joined the team to grow our program offering in the Limestone Coast area.

Tumbelin

Our Tumbelin Adventure Therapy Program has also recently welcomed Lucy Chan into the team. Lucy comes to us with a number of qualifications enabling us to expand our adventure options for the students in the region.

Staff Wellbeing

The Limestone Coast team focuses on supporting staff wellbeing and self-care through raising awareness and participating in celebrations and significant events. Lately the team celebrated International Yoga Day with “Office Yoga” and supported the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day.
