Fighting hunger in Adelaide is a cause very close to our hearts.  Baptist Care SA’s homelessness services, situated in Millers Court, Adelaide (just off Wright Street) offer a safe place to come for food, shelter, support, advocacy and referrals.

 

Community Food Hub

Located at 216 Wright Street, the Baptist Care SA Community Food Hub offers low-priced groceries to anyone with a concession card or Immi card, including pensioners, students and people experiencing homelessness.

Location: 216 Wright Street, Adelaide.

Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday from 10am-3pm.

WestCare Centre

Monday to Friday, from 9am – 10.30am & 11.30am – 1pm (closed public holidays)

Free Breakfast (9am – 10.30am)
Lunch (12 noon): $2.50 for a 3 course meal (a free option of pie/soup is also available)
Free Coffee/Tea (9am – 3pm)

Sunday, from 10am – 1pm

Free Tea/Coffee from 10am and free Lunch (12 noon – 1pm)

 

We also provide access to a warm shower, free laundry, legal services, health care and other services to help your health and wellbeing.

 

Emergency Relief 

Our pantry is stocked with non-perishable food and household items, thanks to generous donors and Emergency Financial Assistance government grants. We provide more than 2,000 emergency relief parcels every year.

For an Emergency Relief (ER) appointment, please visit us at 11-19 Millers Court, Adelaide.

ER for Singles, Couples, and Families is available Monday to Thursday (10 appointments per day) from 9 am – 12.30 pm.

Code Blue and Code Red
We have a Code Blue and Code Red protocol where we extend our WestCare Centre opening hours to stay open overnight in extreme weather. The WestCare Centre staff can advise you on this.
