Christmas is a very busy time of year. It can also be a time of stress.
As we head into a season filled with people, noise and changing environments, many families tell us that routines shift, sensory demands increase and social expectations become harder to juggle. During this time of the year, having support that understands a person’s needs, and fits naturally into the way they live, can make life feel more settled.
That’s where our Disability and NDIS services make a difference.
As a registered NDIS provider, we provide practical, steady support when the pace of life changes. Through calm practical assistance with daily routines, wellbeing, communication and behaviour, we help people to feel grounded and supported at all times of the year. Everyone has different strengths, pressures and hopes. That’s why we shape our services around each individual- taking time to understand and providing support that is unique and genuine.
Our NDIS support services
Developmental Education
Developmental Education (DE) supports people of all ages to build everyday skills that strengthen confidence and independence at home, at school and in community settings.
Developmental Educators provide practical, person-centred support by:
- Developing personalised plans aligned with a person’s strengths, needs and NDIS goals
- Teaching daily living, social and self-help skills through one-on-one education.
- Implementing evidence-based strategies, including positive behaviour support and sensory regulation.
DE is collaborative. Developmental Educators work closely with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists and other allied health professionals to ensure consistent, coordinated support. They also assist families and caregivers by offering strategies, resources and guidance to manage communication, behaviour and daily living tasks — providing both practical assistance and emotional support.
Positive Behaviour Support
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) helps people to live better, safer, and more independent lives by understanding the causes of challenging behaviours PBS begins with understanding the reasons behind behaviour — exploring communication needs, sensory sensitivities and other factors that may be contributing to distress. From this understanding, practitioners work with the person and their support network to reduce restrictive practices, develop effective strategies to improve quality of life and support the development of new, positive skills.
PBS focuses on building new skills to replace challenging behaviours, including communication, emotional regulation and social skills. It also considers changes to routines and environments that reduce stress and support positive outcomes. PBS is highly collaborative— bringing together families, support workers and professionals to ensure consistent, person centred behaviour support.
