As a member of the Disability Pathways team, she helps people who display behaviours of concern which can put themselves or others at risk, to communicate their needs in safer, more effective ways. She also supports the people and environments around them to respond with understanding and person-centred approach.

Her approach is grounded in the simple belief that people with a disability who display behaviours of concern do not need to be ‘fixed’, rather they need the right support and resources to communicate their wants and needs safely.

What Tiele values most is being able to collaborate with a network of care, which includes other professionals, families and friends, to help people with disability build practical skills that increase quality of life.
