Homelessness

Baptist Care SA helps Aboriginal men, women and families who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, find a safe place to live.

We walk alongside of people and work in partnership with community housing organisations.

Please contact us during working hours (9-5) by phoning us on 8118 5200 or visiting the Baptist Care SA West Care Centre at Millers Court in Adelaide.

If you need assistance outside of business hours, contact Homeless Connect SA on 1800 003 308.

Accommodation for Aboriginal Men

Support for Aboriginal Men is an important part of our program. Our Aboriginal Men’s Accommodation Program provides a supported accommodation service for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander men who are homeless or have experienced chronic homelessness and who have high and complex needs as assessed by the ENU.

This service can only be accessed by clients referred to by Baptist Care SA via the Exceptional Needs Unit (ENU) of Disability SA. For more information about our Aboriginal Services, view our brochure.

Homelessness Support - Eastern Adelaide

The reasons for homelessness are varied and never simple. In our Eastern Adelaide Aboriginal Specific Homelessness program, we work with Aboriginal men, women and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to help them find and maintain long term stable housing.
Call (08) 8118 5200

We use Aboriginal Specific and holistic case management to work with you to identify the barriers and challenges that are preventing you from finding long term housing. Our Case Managers will assess your accommodation and support needs and provide the appropriate support to assist you. We also work in partnership with the South Australian Housing Authority and Community Housing Organisations to help you achieve your goals. You may be placed in a Transitional Housing Property in which you will receive ongoing support.
