Practice Champions to support development of a trauma informed culture

Baptist Care SA has been successful in receiving a grant of $10,000 from Department of Human Services (DHS) which will be used to support appropriate and ongoing training for all staff.

As part of Baptist Care SA’s Practice Framework, we are committed to creating a trauma- informed culture across the organisation.  This will enhance the practice of staff working directly with clients who have experienced trauma and build valuable awareness amongst non-client facing staff.

Our two phase approach will include

  • Specialist trauma training for a group of Practice Champions drawn from across the organisation
  • A program of learning and development activities whereby our Practice Champions cascade their learning to the rest of our staff.
  •

Training for Practice Champions will be offered September –  December 2020 and the wider rollout will take place in 2021.
